INTRODUCTION ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT: The Department of Physical Education Pedagogy is continuously striving for excellence in Physical Education in terms of qualification, commitment and innovation; updated curriculum; teaching processes and technology.
VISION:
To engage in relentless pursuit of Excellence in the promotion and development of Physical Education & Sports through Innovative Programmes in Teaching and to facilitate research and scholarly enquiry, to prepare quality professionals and to provide services in the field of Physical Education and Recreation. We embrace lifelong opportunities for discovery, learning and participation that contribute to a healthy lifestyle and also to integrate education by introducing inclusivity through facilitation of slow learners.

MESSAGE FROM THE HEAD OF THE DEPARTMENT Dr. Anindita Das
Ever since the department of Physical Education Pedagogy started it’s journey, the department has been simultaneously & successfully performing the multiple roles of providing base for knowledge, acquiring new capabilities and producing an efficient human resource pool aiming to contribute in various domains of the society. The department consists of highly experienced and dedicated faculty along with commitment to the field of Physical Education who strive hard to work with great enthusiasm and provide a positive and optimum learning environment.
The strong positive reputation of the Department pulls schools and organizations like Delhi Public School, The Good Shepherd School, Mussoorie International School, The Scindia School, Unison World School, Mayo School, Doon School to name a few as far as Private and Public Schools are concerned to offer jobs to our students. whereas the students are doing extremely well in acquiring the govt. schools and higher education also like kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan Navodaya Vidyalaya schools, U.P. Higher Education, Sikkim University, Delhi University, West Bengal Public Service Commission, Harayana Public Service Commission.
The students of the Department are continuously encouraged to prepare research papers and articles to present on National and International platforms as well as publish in National & International Journals and proceedings by the abled faculty.
Apart from participatin and winning in sports/games events, they are also motivated to participate in events of the Youth festival such as Folk dance, other form of dance, music, song, debate, Rangoli, Clay Modelling, Pottery etc.
The students are doing extremely well in qualifying NET, JRF, SLET in Physical education which definitely adds a feather on the cap of the Department.
